BO has been working fine for me the last few years but this week I'm noticing a problem. When I make a change to the main template file of a blog and hit "update" I see the normal message at the top saying the blog was updated but when I check the blog it was not. And when I go back to look at the main template code the change I made is not there either. I have to add the new code again and hit "update" three or four times before the file finally is changed.

Any idea on what could be causing this and how to fix it?

If it matters, the browser I use is Internet Explorer 9.

hm, never have such problem reported before.. I am not seeing a reason for it not to work several times and then to work.. if something was broken it wouldn't work at all.. You sure your browser isn't caching the results or something?

you can pm me url and pass to your BO admin so i can take a look and see if i would find something..

I switched to Google Chrome and the same thing happens, but it appears to have something to do with the time frame between making changes to a blog. If I make a change and then try right away to make another change nothing happens. I have to make the change and hit update exactly 4 times before the change finally is accepted. But if I wait a few minutes then I am able to make a change OK.

I recently had some mod_security issues with my hosting company so I'll check with them this week to see if this could be causing the problem in this case.

then for sure it isn't from BO, but something on the server like mod_security or other module..

I found out that my hosting company is using a new caching program call Varnish which they say improves site performance, but it means I have to wait a couple minutes in between every change I make to my BO blog templates. This is a real pain and I may end up moving my BO blogs to another host, which I hope is not going to be difficult. Guess I'll have to start reading the forums here for details on how to do it!
