Hi Kaktusan,
I'm sure from my last few post here on the forums you know I've been having vps/server problems. My current host switched all of my databases to InnoDB and moved me to a new dedicated server. Well now Blogs Automater is having trouble saving data, anything like adding a new sponsor etc. It works and all but it takes a long time, anywhere from one minute to five minutes. I have BO on the server too and it saves data fine. I also have several other scripts that work fine. So my host thinks it's a script problem, I doubt that but maybe you might have some idea of what it could be? Does your scripts work fine with InnoDB?

I've been watching the queries when it's saving data. It looks like it's trying to optimize the whole database every time I try to save something. That would probably explain why it's taking so long to save. Is that normal?

Thanks

Just an update...

I noticed BA works fine when I'm using MyISAM but not with InnoDB. Is there something I can do to get it working well with InnoDB? If not I'll just leave it on MyISAM.

hi there,
my scripts are designed to work with myisam and i never have tested them on innodb.. So i can't say anything about it..

anyways, it would not be problemable to work on innodb, and the problem you are experiencing with the writing won't be from the php script but the mysql itself, since php is just issuing the query and mysql processes it. So, probably innodb has some problems processing some query and thats why it takes that long..
