Hi Atanasis,
it looks like the v-server I run two installations of BA on has finally reached its limits, I am getting errors like "cannot allocate memory" too often and I can't order more RAM than I already have. So I have to move both BAs to a dedicated server - can you please tell me how to manage this safely?
Here's what I think how to get it done:
1) Stop cronjobs for bapost and bacrawl
2) dump the database and import it to the new host
3) simply move ba-directories from old to new server
4) change db-data in info.inc.php
5) almost done, except licenses...
...the installation-domains need to be changed for both installations because they belong to the v-server and cannot be moved  Please advice how we can get this done while moving. |

yes, what you described is good enough for moving them seemlessly..
about the new domain licenses, there's a $15 domain relicensing fee which can be paid via epassporte or paypal

$15 for both licenses in my case - they will point to the same domain anyway 
Ok, when and how do I have to do the relicensing? What happens when loggin into the new host without the new licenses installed yet? Would BA simply not work or would it do any harm? Usually a unlicensed BA is limited to three campaigns as far as I remember... I got "a little" more than that  |
