I noticed all feeds from sponsor programs who use "wp-rss2.php" for generating their RSS feeds give an error in BA .

They all have the same error :

Quote:
Mismatched tag at line 30, column 8

I don't know when this started , but it's on feeds from :

Nubiles , Triplexcash , Joinrightnow ,Elitedollars etc .

I'm running BA on a Cpanel server , maybe an auto update broke something ?

I haven't got a clue how to start searching to fix this , any insights would be appreciated .

I get :
Code:
http://blogs.pervnetwork.com/CollegeFuckFest/wp-rss2.php?nats=kaktusan:PPS:CFF - Inserted, Parser Error: Mismatched tag at line 30, column 8

I have version Version 1.5.3 .

Other feeds are just fine , including the ones from my own Wordpress blogs .

hmm,

line 30, contains just :
party

so i don't see what could be wrong with that.. especially and with column 8 which holds the "g" letter..

try this one now:

Result :

Code:
http://blogs.pervnetwork.com/CollegeFuckFest/feed/?nats=kaktusan:PPS:CFF - Inserted, OK (Imported 10 entries)

Hmm , my BA install doesn't like feeds from "wp-rss2.php" anymore .
And I can't find any error log on my server related to this .

But I'll keep searching ...

After some research with google , I created a "php.ini" for the domain where BA is hosted on with :

Code:
[PHP]
allow_url_fopen = On

in it , and all feeds from "wp-rss2.php" sources work again ...

Don't know if this is really a secure solution Question

i don't see what allow_url_fopen = On has to do with parsing a feed?

BA uses curl to download the feed and then passes it to the parser. I really don't see a relation between allow_url_fopen and the parser..

but when it works now, its some kinda of strange glitch that was happening..

as about security, yes, it is fine.. if you get hacked, it won't be from it and one way or another if they get in they will be able to call urls remotely..

If I turn back allow_url_fopen = On to Off , the wp-rss2.php generated feeds give an error again .

Strange thing is , if I use "feed" or "RSS2" instead of "wp-rss2.php?sponsorfeed" it works without "allow_url_fopen = On" ...

It shouldn't make any difference , but try and explain that to my server/BA/whatever is giving me this error .

Weird Shocked

yeah, its really weird.. i don't see any point, but looks like this is one of those "pretty weird" stuff that can happen with PCs that doesn't make any sense at all...

glad you find the problem Smile
