hi,
i have added many remote blogs from thumbloger sensualwriter and many other WP MU systems and also bunch of my subdomain WP blogs, but looks like BO is not posting posts to them from rss feeds.
where i have to check for problem ??

check if your server can connect to thumlogger.com and sensualwriter.com
ping them directly from your server

i have added some blogs that are on same server to check first that scripts works fine and if now i will try to ping TB and SW after that, but i have idea how to do that

i have checked and BO is not posting even to blogs that are in same server, actually it's not posting at all.
how to make it work ?

got it this time and took a look and it looks like there is some problem with the feeds parser, because i see the feeds are getting downloaded on your server, but for some reason nothing happens after that. So it ends to be the parser, but to debug it and find whats up exactly i will need ftp access to there.
btw, why don't you use Blogs Automater for remote blogs rss feeding? It is better in that manner than BO and i see you own a copy it..

yes i have free copy of that and paid copy on another domain that is not in use anymore and you charge 15$ for transfer, so i decided that BO will be enough to feed all splogs.
i will send you pm with access to BO files.

okay, i found the problem, but unfortunately it is not in my capabilities to fix it.
if you open any of your rss feeds and view their source, you will see the encoding is: encoding="windows-1252"
it looks like your server can't transform that encoding to the xml standart UTF8 to process the xml data from the feed. I don't know how that could be fixed on your server.
I tried one of your feeds on 3 my BO installs on different machines and it works fine..

not sure exactly, coz i never messed up with encoding, nor struggled with a server that doesn't have supported encodings by default.. Probably your server has no support for that encoding at all. So, probably a support for that encoding must be enabled on the server and the php..

got an answer from support :
Please check now. We enabled the restricted function in your server php.ini /usr/local/lib/php.ini . Please not this will decrease your vps security. If issue still exist, please provide step by step procedure for regenerating the issue
but posts are still not on any of the bogs.

what restricted function they have enabled, and what does it have to do with vps security? We are talking about character encoding support

Hello,
Previously we disabled functions lole allow url fopen , exec , Now it is enabled. Also regarding encoding issue, It the standard configuration. There is no customization in your vps. You must be need to check with your script developers, and tell him to set the encoding on php scripts. Also if you are using any database , you also need to set the encoding too.
i have no idea what's wrong there.

script uses xml_parser_create() function for parsing the rss feed. It supports only few encodings and the windows-1252 is not one of them.
when feed is not from the supported encodings by that function, the script tries either with iconv() or mb_convert_encoding() to convert the encoding to supported one.
One of these three functions or all of them fail to convert the windows-1252 encoding to a known one, probably because lack of server support for that encoding.
My script can't do anything to support the encoding, when the server itself has no support for that encoding.
