Ive went through the steps setting up my remote blogs through BO and nothing seems to be updating. I started by adding a virtual host to my server asian.cherrysurfer.net then added the corresponding database and installed wordpress. I set up wordpress then went to BO to set up the blog with the necessary feeders. I added the service under remote blogs http://www.cherrysurfer.net/asian/xmlrpc.php then added the account and hit scan now... everything was added successfully. I then added the feeders to the blog and hit update. I next went to my server and added the cronjobs. Since I host with servage I had to add them as daily cronjobs and then wait a day to see if they update. Here are the cronjobs that I setup per vikingals original support request.

Execution Time: 00:00 GMT
Script: http://asian.cherrysurfer.net/BlogsOrganizer/bo-full/bocron.php
Description: bocron

Execution Time: 00:00 GMT
Script: http://asian.cherrysurfer.net/BlogsOrganizer/bo-full/borssfeeder.php
Description: borssfeeder

Execution Time: 00:00 GMT
Script: http://asian.cherrysurfer.net/BlogsOrganizer/bo-full/borposter.php
Description: borposter

Execution Time: 00:00 GMT
Script: http://asian.cherrysurfer.net/BlogsOrganizer/bo-full/bolinkchecker.php
Description: bolinkchecker

It hasnt pulled any past feeds or new feeds and my blog still sits blank and I dont know why. Do you see any problems with the way I have set this up. The only thing that I think that it could possible be is that within wordpress the blog and wordpress address is http://cherrysurfer.net/asian instead of http://asian.cherrysurfer.net. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Query to MySQL Failed: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 's')' at line 1

Any Ideas?

hi there, well first can you go to "General Settings->System Events" and see if you have any messages there. If there are none, then your cronjobs didn't run properly. As about the 2nd error you get i will look in the code of the script right now..

Let me know..

i see, well, why they allow just daily cronjobs? most companies that restrict cronjobs, make it atleast hourly or every 5 mins, a daily cronjob is really a big limitation nowadays...

I think the error code that i encountered has to do with the rescan categories feature under the remote blogs section when i go to edit the blog. If i click rescan on the dropdown and hit update i get the error.... when i reload the page the new categories are there and I assign the category... hit update and it says updated successfully. I will know if it is operating correctly after i get the feeds filtering over.

Well, have you assigned each blog from what exactly feeds to read or you just added the rss feeds?

i see, then, does some posts appeared in the remote blogs in the admin section?

Also how frequent you set the cronjobs work, coz the rss feeding for remote blogs work kinda different from the rss feeding of remote blogs. The deal is that when the "borssfeeder.php" is launched, it crawls the feeds and inserts the necessary posts to the BO database, then on next cronjob run - usually next minute, the "borposter.php" starts and starts submitting those posts to the remote blogs. This is done this way, because posting to remote blogs must be done within 25 seconds interval atleast, otherwise bans might appear..

Since my cron only run daily i set them up twice at a 4 hour interval... they have now run for the second time today and it still shows no posts to the blogs nor does it show any in the admin area as scheduled to post. I will set them up to run again to see what happens

hi there, well for some reason your cronjobs stopped working since yesterday. As you might see in your General Settings->System Events they haven't run from lots of hours from now..
Go by ftp to directory /bo/boblogs/botemp/
and delete any .txt files you might find in that directory. If there are no .txt files in there, you should check your cronjobs..

Let me know..

hi there, well i went again and checked and did some tests and all works when i do run the cronjobs manually. I tested for your 1st and 2nd blogs in your list. What i noticed is that you should set the "crawl time" to less than 720 minutes which is exactly 12 hours, and since your cronjobs run twice a day, the calculation between the last time the rss feed was grabbed might be sooner than the crawl time which causing the feed not to crawl. So basically with simple words, go and set the crawl time for all your blogs lets say to 1. There would not be worries it will run every minute, because your cronjobs run just twice a day, but that will make sure all rss feeds will be crawled..

Let me know...
