Hi Support.
When running a campaign, I am getting this message:
(For a Wordpress blog, running WP 2.82)
Campaign Execution in process...Found new entry......Publishing to blog failed: Operation timed out after 40000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received..FINISHED!
I ran the same feed with a different Wordpress blog and the problem was gone.
What could be happening?
Things I have tried include:
- Copying the xmlrpc.php file from the working blog to the unresponsive one (Problem persists)
- Checking the Writing settings of the unresponsive Wordpress blog to verify that remote posting is enabled
- Trying to post to a different category to the unresponsive blog (Problem persists)
I dont know what else I should try.
I also tried to deactivate all the plugins of the blog, but it was too messy.
Has anybody had this problem before? How did you troubleshooted? How it was solved?
Thanks in advance |

probably you have pinging enabled in your problemable Wordpress and it can't complete within 40 seconds which is the timeout value set in BA to wait for wordpress response when publishing new posts.
Try removing all ping services in you WP and see if that will help.. _________________ Thanks,

Wow.
You are amazing!
Problem Solved!
I had a list of 30+ sites to ping.
The next question should be....
What should be my pinging policy? NoPinging?, Pinging one service, three services?
Thanks |

you can ping, but don't put that many in the list, because as you see it gets really slow. You can go to BA "Settings->Configure" and fine the "Timeout Publishing" option there and increase the 40 seconds a bit. Put some of your best ping services like google, yahoo, technorati and etc.. and ping just those.
Or best way is to get Rocket Pinger and let BA ping it and RP do the pings for you, because there is no wait, RP pings in background without any other scripts need to be waiting.. _________________ Thanks,

OK. Good Suggestion.
I am trying to recover a little my investment first before I move on with the other products.
Thanks |
