Hi,
I think that the link checking process on my site exceeds more than one hour.
So the links checking process is started again by the cronjob after an hour before the first process has been completed.
When the process has been completed i have received two different emails on diffent timestamps with different scan results.
On the report there are duplicate results for missing backlinks to the same site.
I have at the moment 4800 trades in the script. Is this possible that this is too much and that the process runs twice ?
and so yes what can i do best... Set the cronjob interval to 2 or 3 hours instead of every hour.?? or...
Can you please advise me.
best regards

the linkchecker has a lock file at /lo/site_templates/linkchecker.txt
whenever the checker starts it checks if that file exists, if it exists then another instance of the checker is started so it doesn't start again.
see if that file is created when the checker is running, could be permission issues not making the file.. _________________ Thanks,

Ok,
I have monitored the process.
20:00 link checking process has started. linkchecker.txt has been created.
21:00 linkchecker.txt was overwrited and got timestamp 21:00
21:15 first email was send, report is available in script and linkchecker.txt is gone
22.20 second email with other results than the first email was send (there are also a few duplicate missing trades which were also mentioned in the first email). duplicate missing trades are also vissible in the report.
Is this the way it should be ?
best regards

no, it shouldn't be that way. At 21:00 the linkchecker.txt shouldn't be overwrited by another instance of the checker..
which version you are on? _________________ Thanks,

i just took a look at the script code, and i have made it to delete the lock file after 1 hour, to prevent the stucking problem that appears from time to time..
i have extended it to 2 hours, so you should be fine.
you have a pm with the fix.. _________________ Thanks,

Hi Kaktusan,
This problem occurs again.
I've converted a lot more sites from linkex to links organizer, and with 8100 trades in the database is this fixed version also not sufficient any more.
Can you please send me a lochecker.php version which can run for 5 or 6 hours so i'll be fine
best regards and thank in advance for your support!
Remco
ps.
when version 1.6 is not any more in beta fase, I will upgrade to the new version and ask you the same question again. |
