When did the Link Checker check your trade? Is there a way to make it work manually?

Because i'm doing some test to see if it's working correctly with my blogs. I created 2 link trades. On one I put the recip to my blog, on the other one I didn't. That's just to test if the Link Checker will detect it.

Thanks!

well, the linkchecker should be running once a day, according to the cronjobs set. Are you having all the cronjobs set up properly?

I think my cron jobs are ok but I don't see the link checker in my system events.
Here is what I see down there in cron jobs settings :

Active Cronjobs List :

* * * * * /usr/local/bin/php -q /web/sites/drpimp/xxxinsanity.com/bo/bocron.php >> /dev/null
* * * * * /usr/local/bin/php -q /web/sites/drpimp/xxxinsanity.com/bo/borposter.php >> /dev/null
* * * * * /usr/local/bin/php -q /web/sites/drpimp/xxxinsanity.com/bo/borssfeeder.php >> /dev/null
0 0 * * * /usr/local/bin/php -q /web/sites/drpimp/xxxinsanity.com/bo/bolinkchecker.php >> /dev/null

I will PM you my Login info so you can check it out.

Thanks!

well, i don't see it either. Please go by ftp to your /bo/boblogs/botemp/ directory and delete any *.txt files if exist. Also try running yourself manually the linkchecker, like http://www.yoursite.com/bo/bolinkchecker.php and see if you will get any output error, if all okay, it should hang for some mins and display nothing. Also you should have an event recorded in the system events..

Let me know..

Thanks!

Ok I looked in the botemp directory but there was no txt file. I runned linkchecker manually and it worked and it recorded in the system events but it didn't find the recip on a page where it was actually there.

At least if I can run it manually it's not really a problem.

Let me know if there is something else to try...
I must go back to work. I'm gonna be back in a few hours...

Thanks!

i see, well, will look into the linkchecker stuff for the next version and will see if i will be able to improve it. The linktrading system in BO was intended to be more like for easy crosslinking your own blogs and your own sites, so no need to check for recips and other extra stuff. I just didn't wanted to extra load the script with the linktrading stuff, since its mainly designed for blogging. As a complete, qualified and advanced solution for linktrading i developed Links Organizer, with which lots of my users started handling the external linktrades for their blogs. Hope you catch my point...

Ok thanks for your help. Very Happy
I see what you mean but I don't want to crosslink my own blogs in the same category because I think it wouldn't help with SEO. I was actually looking to buy Links Organizer. I will probably buy it when I'm ready to do some link trade. First I need to build my blogs. Smile

Thanks again!

yeah, thats cool. Get some blogs first going, submit them to some dirs and then get to the linktrading.. With Links Organizer, its fairly ease to maintain the linktrades Smile

Good luck!
