Boy do I hate to bother you again, but I changed hosts to one that wouldn't mind running cron jobs every minute, and now the script won't run. I have uploaded three times using CuteFtp in binary mode, and made sure Zend Optimizer was running, chmod files to 777....and still getting a 404 error. I can't get the bo-install.php file or any other file for that matter.
Please help.

404 error means you are not uploading to the proper place. Make sure you upload to the correct web directory where you can access your content via web

| I made a folder in the public_html directory and uploaded it there. I tried uploading it straight to the public_html and letting it make it's own folder - still no luck. I went ahead and uploaded wordpress to make sure the site was actually working - and yes it does. I uninstalled wordpress and tried uploading BO again, but still getting 404 errors. |

Well it turns out this host has its own ftp service and when I used it the files uploaded correctly.
But now I can only go so far as the page that says No Valid License Found.
I guess this is because I changed domain and hosting - do I need a different license? If so please send it to me.

well, if you are installing it on a different domain, it will give you that error. You need to install it on same domain. For domain relicensing there is $15 fee which can be paid via epassporte or paypal. Let me know how you would like to proceede

OK, I thought it about last night that you must limit the license to the domain to protect theft of the software.
I had changed host and they offered a free domain so I was trying to put it on the new domain. Anyway, I had the original domain name servers changed to the new host and re-installed BO on that.
BUT NOW, I'm having that same issue with the generated blogs not showing up. I went in and changed the permission in BO and still no blog. I uploaded it with the same FTP service that I uploaded BO. The blog I'm trying to generate is in a subdomain and the files are showing up in the File Manager of Cpanel. I also tried accessing it via boblogs/blog#.php with no luck.
Please advise. |

Thanks for for noticing that I had put BO in the main directory.
I was afraid to go through the whole install again - but this time I took a screen shot of my file manager so I would get the modified permissions correct.
It worked! BO is on subdomain and I was able to generate a test blog and post with RSS feed.
Thanks again for all your help. It must seem so simple to you, but for many of us this is very confusing. Your patience is really appreciated! |
