Sorry if I bother too much lately but as I have had BO for a short time, there are quite a few things that I dont know and I cant see them in the docs.

Using Remote Blogs (Wordpress)

I have a problem with the blog categories as they dont show when I try to post:

screenshot:

I created new categories recently like "category1", but the only categories that show up are "other", I created "category1" after I had added the remote blog to BO and I don know how to do it so that BO will show these news categories. Should I delete the blog from BO and add it again so it finds all categories? The blog is still empty.

Thank you for help

when you add new categories to your blog, you need to go in BO, click on edit on the blog and click "rescan categories" checkbox and hit update. That will recrawl the categories from the blog itself.

I have done the categories rescan and it worked very well for all the new blogs, thank you.

But I have two blogs over 6 months old that have now changed the category names, these are not new categories, I only renamed them.

Can BO update them for me? I have followed the procedure, i.e. rescan categories, but the name does not change.

Example: One category was renamed from "Blondes" to "Blonde girls", after rescan BO category is still showing "Blondes"

Perhaps in the next version, it would be possible to have it re-scan for categories each time you load the remote blogs or once a day. Its a bummer when you add 1 category a day and have to go back and change the rescan box to yes each time.

yeah, probably. I have added rescan categories on time basis in BA and works nice, so probably could add it to BO as well..
