exactly that feature is left for next update soon. So far i have made the more important updates like random campaign execution time, picking unique entries only and others. _________________ Thanks,

Cool
I was going to ask too - under Linked Words in Campaign, can you make the new links follow the Link Settings rules? Then I can use target=_blank and rel=nofollow, or whatever. That would be really cool |

The documentation for BA tells us:
Quote: | The script crawls the feeds and extract their entries and stores them in database. Script automatically will NOT allow duplicate entries from same feed to go into the database. It uses the "title" tag of the feed entries to consider a feed (entry) as duplicate. |
Is it possible to have BA recognize duplicate entries another way, maybe by storing the original blog post ID number or something like that (maybe a checksum of some kind)? I'm asking because I really want to be able to edit the titles of posts in the BA database before they're posted to my blogs. But right now if I do that it would mean that BA won't recognize it and will add the original post to its database next time it crawls that feed. |

when script reads a feed, it makes a md5 checksum of the titles and saves that in the database. next time when it reads feeds it checks for the md5 sums that are already in db to match the new md5 sums generated from the newly read feed titles. if any match, its dupe, if not, its inserted. So i think if you edit a title of the post when it is in database already, script won't pick again that entry again from the same feed, because the md5 sum of the edited post remains same..
test that i think it should work. if not working let me know and i will be looking at it for next update.. _________________ Thanks,

for linked words I would love to be able to specify multiple urls for a single keyword and have the script choose one of them for each instance of the word in a post
anal||http://www.url1.com
anal||http://www.url2.com
anal||http://www.url3.com
for replaced words something similar would also apply
word1||replacement1
word2||replacement2
word3||replacement3
this would be excellent for SEO , plz see what you can do asap
thanks kaktus _________________ hi |

Hello!
First of all, thank you for the great scrips!
I have a couple of suggestions for next BA updates (sorry for my English ):
Campaigns Database
I think, this page should have an option to break to several pages with custom # of results (like "Entries Database" page), because if you have a lot of Campaigns this page can overload the browser.
Headers and footers
It would be nice if headers and footers can be allocated into the categories, because if you have about 1-2 hundreds of texts it's not so easy to find them in small "Custom Footer" field in Campaign wizard.
Thanks |

Entires review
I think that the button "Approve" can be good addition to Pending/Reviewed status selector (100+ clicks to select "Reviewed", then click "Update" make me mad ) |

Can you also change for all on instead of only placing one keyword make to take a long tale keyword like this:
big tits||http://xxx.xxx.com
instead of:
big||http://xxx.xxx.com
tits||http://xxx.xxx.com
Also for BO can you add in the rss feeders section a way to separate all the feeds into folders like a option for porn or mainstream then further down for boob, ass, general so on. I got way too many feeds to deal with all in one bulk list.
Thanks. |

I'd like to see the option to assign a new feed directly to status "pending" or "reviewed".
At the moment there is just a global option for the status.....

Here's a couple. So far I like what I see in the demo of BA and I think when I get more blogs I'll be purchasing the full version.
Here's a couple of things I'd like to see in BA
1) Custom Feeds are cool but they could use a bit more functionality. Adding Entries to the custom feeds I think you should be able to upload pics or have the pics upload to the blog when you post them. Maybe this is a function of BO? I think it would be nice in BA if it didn't kill BO. Personally I'd like to be able to create my own feeds by hand without having to upload the images on my own.
2) Pull entries from feeds and either copy of move them into seperate custom feeds. I'd like to be able to pick and choose from my feeds and lump them together for certain niches. Example. I'd like to be able to take all the entries from a sponsor feed with Girls with Blond hair and move them or copy them into a custom feed for girls with blond hair. I think this would make for great practical use especially with the rewrite functions. Under optimum circumstances I'd like a check box menu under each of the posts that I can add it to all or none or some etc of the feeds.
That's it for now. Thanks for the cool program. |

Please consider having a way for us to add tags during the review of entries and while editing single posts in Blogs Automater. Just adding tags to an entire feed might be a little useful, but those of us who use tag clouds very heavily and build blog sites where the main surfer navigation scheme is tags, well, we need much finer control of what tags are applied to each post.
Basically we really need a field for Tags on each entry, so that we can populate that field with whatever tags we need for that single entry, and then have those tags carried over to WordPress (or whatever someone uses) when the entry is posted to the blog(s).
Tags are becoming more important than ever, and I really hope to see this kind of tagging added to BA soon. |

Another suggestion:
Have an addition grouping for posts besides pending and reviewed. Sometime I get half way into editiing something and would like to set it to EDITING or something so that I can come back and find it more easily. Since at times I have to finish for awhile and come back to it later. |

Its really annoying to set every time the "Fields Delimiter" in the "Import New Feeds" form.
I would love to have a default. It doesent matter what, a semicolon ( or a pipe (|). |

On the Entries screen after choosing Blog Now we get a screen for Publish Entry to Blog where we can see if it's been published to a particular blog before, and where we can then choose in which categories we want the posted entry to appear.
It would be great if there was also a selection there for choosing the Campaign settings to use so that the Blog Now post will appear with any and all changes that other automatically posted entries would have. |

|

Because so many sponsors have no idea how to create good feeds which will work on all kinds of blog layouts and designs, they often fill their posts with code which winds up making the entries unusable. Or at least unusable without a lot of editing.
I've seen too many feeds with tables, divisions, paragraphs, blockquotes, alignment, colors, font sizes, and inline CSS of all kinds. And of course there are the ones which open the tags but don't close them.
A fix for this would be a way to specify all tags and attributes which we'd like stripped from the posts in a particular feed. Or a way to specify the only tags and attributes we do want to have preserved in the feed.
Personally I'd just need a way to strip everything except the raw anchor <a> tag and the raw image <img> tag. By raw I mean that only the href= in the anchor tag and only the src= information in the image tag would be preserved.
That still wouldn't cure the problem of sponsors who think a third or more of the words in each post need to be linked to their galleries and tours, but it would be a great first step. |

I am currently evaluating BA (I already heavily depend on both BO and GS). The only thing I find disappointing is that I would love to automatically replace text in the 'alt' and 'title' tags and also in the anchor text for linked URLs. All of this is pretty essential for good SEO. Currently I have to add my feeds as 'pending' and then edit these items in each post before marking them as 'reviewed'.
Apart from that - wonderful software!! |

I agree, I think it would be nice if there was a main rewrite list. That way the main list is always used if you want and easily changed. But if you'd like to change words "over" the main list for a campaign then you could still do it in the spot rewrite is in now.
That would save a lot of time when you got a bunch of blogs and need to change the words around for all of your blogs, or even if it was done by groups. It would also save me a lot of finger pain!
Another suggestion, when searching post you can only see the title. It would be nice if you could also see the pic and text in the post or at least some kind of preview.
Also... "Newly crawled Entries are set as: " option is only a global setting. It sure would be nice if you could set this for one feed at a time instead.
Oh and the last time Kaktusan posted in this thread was 2007, I hope he still reads it. |
