I am playing with the demo, trying to work out if it will do what I want etc
I want to do link exchanges with third parties, but also want to cross link some/all of my own sites.
Is there some way that I can cross link my sites within the same category automatically? Something similar to the Blog Organizer 'friends' links.
It looks to me like I would have to enter each of my own sites by hand (again) as link partners, even though they are already in the system.
Have I misunderstood?
Also, tt would be great if it could cross link my own sites, but automatically link them in triangles/squares etc (ie not reciprocal) |

hi there,
thanks for your interest!
Currently Links Organizer can't auto crosslink your own sites. I have this feature as primary feature for the next version. I didn't implemented it yet in the first version, because it requires more complex approach, since I want to give the ability not just to regularly crosslink your sites, but have it support A-B-C and A-B-C-D linking and yet making it as automated as possible. Thats why i need more to think on it, how exactly to create it.

Excellent - this is the single most important feature for me.
I was about to commision someone to write a package that did this for me, had already specced-out all the desirable features etc.
Any idea on time scales? |

Still no planned date for next version of Links Organizer. I have enough new features thought up for upgrade, so the sooner i am able to make them the sooner i will release it.

Hey Kaktusan,
Any update on the new version with the auto cross linking yet? I'm wondering if I should wait or dive into the current version! I really don't want to have to add all of my sites over and over again. |

hi there,
well, not to lie to you, better go and crosslink your sites with the current stuff. I am just finalizing the new version of BO, then will do some addons for SO and after that will get to LO. So probably, a new version of LO, won't come out till march this year.
I were about to put crosslinking of the sites from the start, but i decided to leave it for later version, since crosslinking of own sites nowadays, most times results in negative results due to SEs are damn smart already, and I didn't want to let people crosslink all their sites with few clicks and drag their sites to the bottom of the SEs. So i want to think out some good way of advanced crosslinking and then provide it to my users. Hope you understand..

Thanks for the prompt response. I completely understand. I will work with the current version and wait for the update. I'm sure it will be great. I can't wait to get my hands on the BO update. |
