| I thought I had everything setup right, I am using pretty much all default values just so I can learn the script. I created a test blog and created one post and rebuild blog says generated, but nothing is in the folder. |

| I checked the template for mistakes and just by chance I saw it didn't have a </head> in it so I put one in and it still does nothing. the index.php page shows the head and the ending of the body html but nothing in between no content |

| I changed from php includes normal to curl and it seems to be working now |

after you changed to CURL version of the codes, have you uploaded the new linking codes?
Try uploading them again. Linktrades should work if you have linktrades assigned to the blog. The images problem, probably could be htaccess issue, but first get rest things working and then will see about it

| found the problem with link trades even though I told the php to change to curl I didn't go into the curl properties and turn on, thanks much |

| Next question is if I enter a new rss feed and I want to post the newest entry from the feed how do I do that. |

ok cool you solved those problems 
about the rss feed question... you can't insert just the newest entry. The idea is reading feeds and inserting entries by entries.. So, to work it around if you want just the newest entry, put some big crawl time, so it will pick in some mins the newest entry and then lots of time will not read the feed again, so you will be able to disable it
