| can snippets be used to store things like say banners and accompanying text, or dating/cams iframes and such, for easy inclusion into themes as need be? how do i use this option if so? |

yes, snippets are exactly for that. you can use them for any repititive content you need to use across your blogs

| the doc for the snippets doesn't seem to make it clear how exactly to use them. i have a snippet saved with a banner and some text that i would like to include in the menu of themes i do for creampie blogs. so how do i calle dthat snippet into the theme i'm managing for that particular blog? |

you call the snippet by %%snippetname%%
whatever name you gave the snippet, just enclose it in double %

paste me what exactly you put in your template.
Are you sure you typed properly the snippet name as it is added in the system? Also make sure your snippet name doesn't contain any special chars, like space, - and etc.. it must be pure letters only
