I know that this has probably been covered before but I didn't see anything that really helped me.

My script seemed to install fine, but when I put the linking code to display in my html pages it won't display.

I have spent about 6 hours trying to figure it out. And I just can't seem to nail the problem down.

when you are trying to use php code inside .html pages you need to tell your server to parse .html pages as php ones. To do so add the line below to a .htaccess file at the root of the domain:

AddType application/x-httpd-php .html

I actually already tried adding that line to the hta file. It didn't seem to help.

Well I worked on it a bit more. And here is the latest, the tmp.php thing doesn't work either. But I have two different domains running off one hosting account, the second being something like a subdomain, with the lo script installed there, and lo php code installed on the main page of the main domain and no matter what I do I can't get the php code to work there, but it seems to work fine on the second domain where the script is installed. The script itself seems to work just fine, but I am still a little unsure if the cronjob is working properly.

well, then probably your server doesn't allow remote php includes. Have you tried with the CURL version of the linking codes? Also it could be internal server dns problem, having the 2nd domain can't resolve properly the one where LO is installed at.

About the cronjob, see if the "Linkchecker Last Executed" in the main summary page changes..

I don't understand it, I tried the CURL version and it didn't seem to work, then I tried it again and now it works. Go figure. Maybe I copied it wrong the first time or something.

Thanks for the help.

P.S the script was really easy to install and set up compared to a couple of others I have tried.
