It never fails, on many of my posts, wether its a feed or manual post, I will get strange characters inserted in my text. A real common one is like this

week’s or couldn’t

Seems to be whenever I have a '

I also find the space bar will give this Â, example Getting sick.

Any idea what is causing this and how I can fix it?

Also, whenever I go back to edit a post, the text area is blank - so there is no way for me to even edit a post because I cant see it... but its there???!

hi there, well the problem probably is because you don't have utf8 encoding of your blog pages. Do you have meta tag for the encoding with utf8 in your blog templates?

Yes, you can't go back and edit posts, you need to go to "posts" of the blog and click on edit.

The tag I have been using is <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />.

I switched to <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> and it has removed all those weird chars.

1 problem solved, now onto the next...

When I edit my posts, I get a blank text area.. in other words, the text for that post does NOT appear, so I cannot edit it.

Upgrade Instructions: Users on v3.4.1, just grab the upgrade package, unpack on your pc and upload in BINARY mode the following files: /bo/bofunctions.inc.php , /bo/templates/overlib.js

Simple enough... and it worked!

Problems solved with superior support.

Thank you!
