Hello,

I am trying to set up some blogs in thumblogger, and I have a few questions. in going to the remote blogs section of BO, it asks for API type... but I'm not sure what to select here.

Also, it asks for api url... does that mean http://www.thumblogger.com, or does it mean the actual url of the blog itself on thumblogger, or something else?

Finally, when assigning a name for the blog service, is that just for my reference, or is there something specific that needs to go there?

Thanks.

hi there,
you can read all the info you need at:
http://support.cheapestwebsoftware.com/viewtopic.php?t=37

about the blog service name, it is just for your reference in the script so you easily recognize it.

if you need any more help, let me know..

Hello,

Thanks very much for the tutorial. I was able to successfully add the thumblogger service to my remote services and add my account to it. However, when I tried to scan for blogs, it came up and said I didn't have any. Yet, at this account, I have the following blog:

http://theanalworld.thumblogger.com/

There are no posts to the blog because I was just going to do that through bo. What can I do to get BO to recognize this blog I have set up on thumblogger?

Thanks.

Drew

I've enabled remote blogging on TB to the best of my knowledge. Now whenever I try to find the blogs on TB, I get an error that says could not connect to host. When I change the : to a / in the api url, it says that no blogs can be found. When I change it back to a : it does not work at all and gives me the error I mentioned. What info do you need to help fix this?

Thanks.

Hi,

I added thumblogger as a remote service and used theinformation that I found in the tutorial you sent to me before, basically, api 1.0 and whatever the url was to add. That went through without an error.

Then, I tried to add my account and I received the following error:

Error Occured: null values not supported by XML-RPC

I know I have my email and password right. What can I do?

Thanks.

hm, thats strange, never seen such error message so far, but it looks like either you are making a mistake somewhere or there is problem with your host. I just tried that in 2 of my BO copies and all work fine.

PM me url and pass to your BO so i can test from there too..

just checked in and yeah, really shows that error no matter what i do. There should be something between your host and thumblogger.com:2020

also could be your host filtered xmlrpc calls...

Yeh, I'm having a problem adding Thumblogger. I use the URL / details as stated above (which worked before but I deleted the service). Now when I try I get: Error Occured: couldn't connect to host

yeah, thats a regular problem. ask your host support to unfilter 2020 port and make sure your server can do connections to http://www.thumblogger.com:2020/
