Hi

I have a problem with the year in the posting date. I have opened a couple of posts which I made last year to correct something. EG: I opened a post dated 24 december 2007, when I press update, the date changes to 24 December
2008 and there is no way to option it back to 2007! This is seriously going to affect my resubmissions. HELP!

Thanks.

hm, as looking into the edit post section now, yes i see a problem. The first year is the current one, so when the 2008 arrived, when you go to edit a post, the lowest choise is 2008. You should have seen that before editing the posts, and don't edit them but inform me, so i can fix and then edit.

I will see to provide a quick fix in some hours.

I didn't notice when editing as I didn't change the date.

This also means that, as I am making a couple of new blogs, I cannot backdate the posts to populate the blog. I look forward to the fix.

Many thanks.

yeah, i see, np.

yes, thats a problem, i have a small error in the date printing function for the year, so it picks the current year as lowest possible number and go high. tomorrow will make the fix so it will let you choose 1-2 year behind the current year and problem will be solved..

will let you know when fix is ready.

Sorry for not replying sooner - been ill.

Thanks for the response and the upgrade. I haven't managed to do this yet. I followed the link and, as I am using 3.4 (ie lower than 3.4.1) I followed the instructions to "do regular upgrade by uploading all files and running the upgrader file". So I went to the Owner's Lounge and got the "latest full package". I have uploaded this, in binary mode, and now I have noticed that there is no 'upgrader file', only the bo-install file. Of course, I can't access my BO panel now.

Have I made a mistake along the way somewhere? I don't want to run bo-install in case it is the wrong thing to do. Can you clarify?

Thank you.

um, you did pretty wrong. you picked the full install package and not the upgrade package. Don't run the install file, coz you will reset everything!

since you uploaded the install package, now your config file got screwed up.

don't touch anything and pm me this:
url and pass to your BO admin
ftp access to the BO installation
the mysql host, user, pass, database you used when installing the script.

I will go and fix the things.

ok, you are fixed and you can now choose dates with previous years.

next time when you are upgrading, just make sure you pick the upgrade package and not the full install one!

OOOPS!! Everything worked fine. I changed the password on BO log in and then my hostgator login p/word (ie basic security) and now when I try to log in to BO I get:

Could not connect to MySQL Server: Access denied for user 'biliwiz'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

The only other thing I did was (accidentaly) delete a couple of FTP accounts at my host via cpanel.

Any suggestions??

probably when you deleted stuff in hostgator admin panel or when changed your accounts password the mysql password got changed too. download by ftp the file /bo/boinfo.inc.php
edit it with plain editor and change the mysql infos on top of it, and then upload..
