I just upgraded a friend's installation of BO from 3.0 to 3.4.1 and now every time I try to "add new" blog, it just goes to a blank page.

I did this upgrade because the original problem was that regular blogs were not actually working on the actual remote blog URL (I could see it was working on the BO url browsing site1, plus the RSS was working on the remote blog URL, just not the index page).

Any advice?

probably not all files were uploaded in BINARY mode. please reupload them and make sure your ftp client uses BINARY mode and not ASCII or autoselect. If yet problemable, pm me ftp details and url and pass to BO admin and i will be looking at it.

thanks, the re-upload helped with the "add new blog" problem.

but the original problem still exists, after uploading the Linking Codes files (via the automatic FTP upload option), then building the site, the site comes up as a blank page. Any ideas on this problem?

cheers!

hm, blank pages usually are caused either from remote php includes disabled or wrong file permissions. Put the CURL linking codes on that blog and see if that will help.
