Hi, I just installed BO and everything went well, no error messages.

I created a new blog, and although the script tells me it was successful, I get the following error message on the top of the screen:

Notice: Undefined variable: g_feeder_sources in /var/www/lustylemmy.com/bo/index.php on line 747

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/lustylemmy.com/bo/index.php on line 747

Notice: Undefined variable: g_feeder_sources in /var/www/lustylemmy.com/bo/index.php on line 754

Also, when creating the linking code for the new blog and uploading to the domain, nothing shows, just a blank page (I did make a test post to be sure there was something to display).

I don't know if there's something I'm missing here. It looks to be an awesome script if I can get it to work. Smile

I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything just to be sure I did everything correctly, but no difference.

tomorrow i am releasing the fix of that error display. As i said in couple more threads, thats not error, i just forgot to turn off the debugger..

About your linking codes, try using the CURL ones, maybe php includes are not available to you..

Let me know..

I tried the CURL code and that worked. Smile Is there any disadvantage to using CURL rather than the remote php (my host said it should work, maybe they misunderstood my question).

Just to clarify: As I understand it the info regarding remote php/CURL relates to the server where BO is installed. What are the requirements for the server where the actual blog is to be displayed (in my case different domain/server/host)?

cool, glad it worked!

well, no, there is no any disadvantage in using CURL. The requirements for the server where the blog will be displayed are:
- php
- allow remote url open in the php (so that the normal link codes with includes work)
- htaccess mod rewrite

Let me know on anything more..

Thanks for quick responses Atanasis! I'm starting to get the hang of it.

I have a question about how the templates behave. There's a space at the top of this page http://www.visiblepink.com/ that I can't explain. The template is set to 0 px margins and there is no space on the post page http://www.visiblepink.com/teen-sex_3.html. This happens with all the premade templates as well, so it's not just my sloppy html. Any suggestions how to get rid of it?

the whitespace is caused by the img src tag for the stats counter, in the index.php linking file. You can move the tag somewhere under on bottom..
