hi there, well thats normal. the pinger gets stuck regularly when there are lots of blogs to be pinged in a row, or when using proxies and it takes much time to find working proxy to serve the ping.
yes, i was about to create the patch this weekend, but appeared a major problem with my host, and as i announced i am throwing all my daily work now to move servers. hopefully by tomorrow i will be done with the move, and will be able to get the patch done.
