yes the directory is 777. there are files in the directory but they are all older than ten days. as i said, there was no problem before. the backup feature worked fine before, it just recently stopped creating new backups. |

pretty pretty strange indeed..
try running the "bobackup.php" file manually and see if you will get any error on output, or if the new backup file will be created properly... _________________ Thanks,

i tried that. i get no error output. it actually says the process has started and the backup will be available shortly, but it still doesn't create the backup file. |

what i meant is to run manually the file like http://www.yourdomain.com/bo/bobackup.php
and see what it does, does it start loading and doing anything or it dies immediately and nothing done... also you might see if it starts writing some temp .tgz file at /boblogs/botemp/
what i have in mind is that it might be dying for some reason if your BO is in same database with some other big script, so script can't backup everything, coz now it backs up the whole database, not just BO tables..
Anyways i am working on improving it and in the upcoming version it should be much more efficient and reliable.. _________________ Thanks,

that is what i did. it did nothing. and no, there is no other script connected with the bo database. i think its a server issue. i'm getting my server upgraded and will let you know if this solves the problem. |
