Alright, so far I've only found one (just begun my feed testing), but that's bad enough in this case, as I really wanted to use their feeds Smile.

The "new releases" feeds from AEBN seem to be ignored by Blogs Organizer. I've tried adding a few other feeds to the same blog, just to be sure the problem wasn't elsewhere, but they are crawled and added properly by the blog (set at two minutes interval while I'm testing).

Here is one feed example - works without a hitch in the two feed readers I've tried:

http://theater.aebn.net/feed/topNewReleases?categoryId=8&theaterId=9&genreId=2

Another comment on feeds while I'm add it. While I expect to use almost solely sponsor feeds that contains a (gallery) linked image, I've tested out a few that don't, and they end up on my blogs entirely without a link to the article/gallery, as the links tag in the feed is apparantly ignored by BO.
I imagine this is by design as I guess it might add an unnecessary direct url at the bottom of each post, but I think it would be nice if it was possible to turn these on for feeds that might need it (seems a bit wasted adding a post without any sponsor links whatsoever).

hi there, that feed is not RSS feed, but its another custom type, and its not support in BO.

As about the link tag, you can display it with %%RSS_LINK%% in yout post template if you need it. Most times you won't need it, coz BO reads the description or content:encoded tags which contain the full post body along with text, images and links..

Alright, guess I missed that %%RSS_LINK%% option - nice to hear it's there, just in case.

I'm a bit sorry to hear about that feed - I was hoping to use some of their niche specific update feeds, guess I'll have to find another way of doing that.
Any reason it works in the feed readers I've tried (Opera's built-in and GreatNews) and not in BO? I guess they can afford to spend a bit more time on compatability with obscure feed formats.

I've already run into several sponsor feeds using urls that definately don't look like your typical feed link (lots of & arguments, no sign of a simple .rss or .xml file anywhere), but I guess that if they are in a correct RSS format, I can expect BO to read them properly no matter how obscure the link looks?

Alright, I finally noticed the feed was in ATOM format, right? Smile

Anyway, I found a workaround and just succesfully tested it on one of my blogs. Since I really just need a content feed and it doesn't matter too much if it's regularly updated, I used GreatNews to export/save the feed locally to RSS format, and after uploading and using that file as a feed, everything works nicely.
