I want to be able to use cut and paste in Firefox in the BO editor panel.

For this Firefox recommends a procedure http://www.mozilla.org/editor/midasdemo/securityprefs.html

I have to create a file user.js

in C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

I have to add to the file

user_pref("capability.policy.policynames", "allowclipboard");
user_pref("capability.policy.allowclipboard.sites", "http://www.mozilla.org");
user_pref("capability.policy.allowclipboard.Clipboard.cutcopy", "allAccess");
user_pref("capability.policy.allowclipboard.Clipboard.paste", "allAccess");

I must change the url "http://www.mozilla.org" to where I want to enable this function in BO.

What would be the path for me to enable cut and paste to function in my copy of BO?

hello there, i can't understand the meaning of the thing you want to do. I think cut/copy and paste is available to any browsers and BO supports that.
Why are you trying to enable somehow that in FF? Am i completely misunderstanding you here?

Let me know..

Atanasis, Firefox does not allow cut and paste in Tinymce. Try it. It's the same with all applications using Tinymce and Firefox. I have to enable it with the instructions as given by Firefox. But i do not know how to complete this as I do not know the url/path that I must enter in the script on my computer, to make it work with the Tinymce on BO.

Here is the info http://www.mozilla.org/editor/midasdemo/securityprefs.html

If there is an easier way of doing cut and paste with BO in Firefox that you know let me know?

Huh, thats something new to me!

Well, i really, went in my BO and tried to select some text inside the tinymce box, do right click and cut/copy it, but it didn't work in my FF.

What worked for me and probably the reason for me to miss this thing, is that i never do right clicks for such things, but directly use my keyboard for easiness and time saver, I do:
CTRL+C - for copy
CTRL+X - for cut
CTRL+V - for paste.
If you try that in FF, it works...

I tried also following the guides you pasted to enable the right click buttons for cut/copy/paste work, but i wasn't able. What i suppose you need to add as url is http://www.yourboinstalldomain.com
since it says to allow access for a site, and the site is your BO installation domain.

Keep me posted..
