yep, the post link suggestion is in consideration process, and i am thinking will i be able to do it in some way, since its all dependable on htaccess and there are a lot of limitations in there..
well, the img src tracker script, can be easily taken out from the blog page, its just for the stats, so if you like you can remove it and check stats from your server, not BO ones. anyways, i don't think any problems should be caused by using it..
and there are not other leads to the master domain except that img script tag...
thanks man _________________ Thanks,

It is worth mentioning the other footprints here.
Definitely remove that image tag - it allows the SEs to find all your blogs.
Rename the bositemap.php - its a massive footprint that allows all sites using it to be found by searching for inurl:bositemap.php on Google
It would be far better if the sitemap file could be renamed from within the program, or even just called sitemap.php so that it hides behind millions of others. |

Is there a way to hide the install domain url on all the other bo sites I have, like the original question #2 above?
I have BO installed on an adult sounding domain and I am running a couple of mainstream blogs that I want to now put on auto pilot using BO.
Thanks |

since v2.5 blogs builded by BO have no tracks that lead to the original install domain, so you are safe to create mainstream blogs.. _________________ Thanks,

Then I must be missing something because when I create all the pages that I have to upload for each blog, they contact the link to the original install.
Can you please show me what I am missing so that I can change those sites asap.
Thanks,

well, yes, the blogs are again contacting the install domain, but thats nowhere shown to the surfer or to the SEs, nor their is anything in the source of the blog, when you do a view source.
For example in the new v2.5 there is no longer image attribute for tracking the traffic like:
img src="http://www.mysite.com/bo-in.php?blog=1&referer=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mysite.com%2Findex.php" border=0 width=0 height=0
but the traffic is counted from the "track.php" blog linking file, which is autoincluded in the index.php
Well, you don't need to do anything, its all automatically done by the script. Your blogs won't contain any leads to the install domain, unless you have put some hardcoded links in the template of the blog.. _________________ Thanks,
