problem in the title link for rss from GS.

In GS i choosed to have the title of the post linked to the gallery url, but in BO, whatever I do, I have the title of the post linked to the The post link instead of the sponsor gal link.

what is the right post template to have %%LINK%% linked to the The post link, like it is now and %%TITLE%% linked to sponsor gallery link.

right now, they both lead to the The post link page.........

Hi there, well, you can't make in GS the title of the feed linked to the gallery url, since the rss feeds can have only text in the <title> tags, and GS automatically uses the short description data for making the title.

Anyways, GS puts the gallery url in the <link> field for the rss feed entry, so you can use the %%RSS_LINK%% in the BO Post Template to make that link appear anywhere you want in the post itself. So if you do like

Code:
<a href="%%RSS_LINK%%">%%TITLE%%</a>
in the BO Post Template, that should make your titles linked to the gallery url, and not to the post page itself..

%%BODY%%
</div><br>

mm, yes i just took a look and the %%TITLE%% displays the post title directly linked to the post page itself, since it was a blog standart when i was creating BO. I will add a support for displaying only the title of the post not linked to anywhere, so you have more control what to do with it, and you will be able to do what you want.

so for now I just removed the link title in BO

Code:
<br><div id="post">
<em>%%LINK%%</em></a></div>
<div style="float:left">Posted on: %%DATE%%</div><br>
%%BODY%%
</div><br>

this is the template in GS
Code:
<table width="98%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center">
<tr>
  <td colspan="2" align="center"><h2><a href="{GAL_URL}" target="_blank"><strong>{GAL_DESCR}</strong></a></h2></td>
  </tr>
<tr>
<td width="50%" align="center"><a href="{GAL_URL}" target="_blank"><img src="{PIC_150x200}" border="0"></a></td>
<td width="50%" align="center"><a href="{GAL_URL}" target="_blank"><img src="{PIC_150x200}" border="0"></a><br /></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="2" align="justify">{GAL_LDESCR}</td>
</tr>
</table>

like that i have a title linked to the sponsor tour. I don't know if the %%title%% token is important for piniging purpose. Plus, like that,all the title sponsor RSS dissapear....

okay, that would work.

Well, the title linked to the post page is important so SEs can follow it and crawl the post page itself too, but since you want to have it linked to the gallery url, it doesn't matter either way..

well do you recomend me to put back the title token untill you update the script?
I want t do that because with GS, I only have links on pics and short description. I do not want to put a link to the long description as i find it awfull. it was an attempt to have more links per post.... Like it is now I only have a link per picture, but maybe it's better than my custom stuff.

well, you can continue as you are , but change your GS template to provide a link to the gallery url linked to the title of the post. GS uses the short description as title for the entries. So you can do in the template a href tag with the {gal_url} and {short_descr} that will look like title of the post linked to the gallery url, as you wanted to do.
