I'm installing Blogs Organizer for the first time, and it apparantly failed to set up the cron jobs automatically.
I've tried adding a few of them manually through my host control panel, and after a few tries with or without the schedule "indicators" (the control panel already has an option to set intervals), I think I should have gotten it right.

"Should have" seem to be the keywords here though Smile, as nothing shows up under active cron jobs or system events.
Should an active cron job appear under system events even if I haven't set up any blogs, categories, posts etc.? I'm guessing the answer is no, in which case the cron jobs aren't running properly.

I'll try contacting my host now, but a confirmation whether or not I should be able to see the cron jobs under system events without any blogs etc. would be nice.

hi there, well, first make sure the /usr/bin/php or whatever path is written in the cronjobs example, is the proper one to the php executable and that it is working fine. Secondly, when you add the cronjobs manually, you won't see them in the "active cronjobs list". When you add the cronjobs manually, if they start working you should see events recorded in the "system events", no matter if you have blogs or no.

Yes, if you have no experience with cronjobs, pass away to your host support the 4 samples, and they will cover them.

On more problems, let me know..

My host has set up the cron jobs and the system events log seems to indicate everything is running as it should.

okay, then cronjobs should be okay. You can test it with some scheduled posts for example...
