Hello. Like the subject says, I want to move a site to a new host, but not the BO script. What is the correct procedure. I have added the domain (same name) at the new host and have uploaded the site files and changed the nameservers.....what am I missing?

hi there, i don't understand what you want to do exactly. Try to explain again.
when you want to move the domain on which BO is installed you need to move and BO itself, since it is installed on the domain.l

No, I don't want to move BO yet. I am just moving one of my websites to another host. Shouldn't be a problem, but I changed the nameservers 3 hrs ago and am still getting the 'Server Not Found' error pg. I have 90+ sites to move to the new host. This is the first and sort of a test case to see if any problems occur before I move them all. |

well, the server not found isn't a problem from BO. Its either dns issue or the setup at your new host. also if the site is a blog that reads from BO you can't make it work since BO is still at your old host and there's no way to tell the new host look for BO on the old host, because the domain is already at the new host.

I think we are making this harder than it is. It must be a dns issue. BO will administer to any site that I've created with it, as long as BO knows where it is and vice versa. I didn't change anything except where the site actually resides. The paths in the site files still point to where BO resides (and vice versa). I have many sites that I created with BO on DIFFERENT hosts. Maybe it's just taking a long time for the dns change. |

| Ok, I downloaded the linking codes for this particular site and uploaded them to the new host and all is now working. Glad I did this little test before moving all! Thanks for your help. |
