I thought the host would have fixed this straight away
I have 50 blogs and about 400 link trades offline at the moment. 
Kaktus do you know where abouts in php5 to enable the remote php includes ??

I am having the same problem.
php5 update has stopped my blogs working.
curl isn't working either.
Aside from asking my host to remote php includes, is there any other solution?

hmm, when and curl doesn't work then problem is more serious in your case..
run the http://www.cheapestwebsoftware.com/server-test.zip
to see if all requirements are fine.
Check your blogs at http://www.yourdomain.com/bo/boblogs/blog#.php
if open fine..
Here's also how remote includes are enabled in PHP5, coz it looks like most admins do not know how to do it.
These 2 lines need to be inserted in the php.ini:
allow_url_include = on
allow_url_fopen = on
