Checking blogs this AM, found several blogs broken due to a bad feed. No warning from Regular Blogs>>Manage - everything looked good. Didn't see the problem until I clicked on the blog's link, and the web page displayed an error (illegal character in line number XXX) with the blog's php in /bo/boblogs/blog.php. Best I can tell it was due to a bad character in the RSS from the sponsor, but it crashed every blog that had that feed assigned to it. Now checking every BO blog by hand to see if any other problems.
Can you add blog status to the BO link checker? Or suggest some other way to verify that all of the blogs are working and generate a report of any problems?

hm, that problem appears on the rss feeds of the blogs, not on the blogs themselves. When there is bad char, the feed has that problem, but your blogs should display fine and just the bad char will appear like it is chinese..
no, a checker can't be develop for that. I am fighting this bad chars problem from months, but never can be 100% fixed, due to the all different chars encodings, and most time they are mixed together in the source and etc..
