How do you add the Google Blog Search Pinging Service to the BO Ping Sites?
Google provides the RPC endpoint as http://blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2 (ref: http://www.google.com/help/blogsearch/pinging_API.html) but also lists the method name element - weblogUpdates.extendedPing and several additional parameters (Name of site, URL of site, URL of the page to be checked for changes, URL of RSS, RFD, or Atom feed, and optional category tag for the site's content).
BO's Admin Ping Sites>>Add New function only asks for RPC URL, Type (Blog URL or Feed URL), and Status.
Is it as easy as
RPC URL: http://blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2
Type: Blog URL
Status: Active
Or am I missing something?

Or am I better off to submit the Google sitemap for each blog through Google's webmaster tools, and let Googlebot find new posts through the other ping services they monitor? |

well, thats extended stuff.. and normal will work too, so yes you just add it like other aggregators..
well and sietemaps are okay and pings too, i always add sitemaps, about their blogsearch i have no good results on receiving good traffic from there..
