atanasis,
google accepts xml sitemaps only if the following criteria are met:
name: something.xml - nothing else
location: root of the domain
otherwise google simply ignore it or gives you an error when trying to fetch the sitemap. |

hi there, you are pretty much wrong. Dunno where you got that info from?
at their page at : https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/siteoverview
i can add my sitemaps for my blogs, no matter where blogs are - domain, subdomain, subfolder and etc..
And yes, BO produces the sitemaps in xml format, but it is compressed to save you bandwidth. Google and rest SEs have no problems with the .xml.gz compressed files, and even encourage people use those, so they save bandwidth too.
look again at your stuff at google, but for me and rest people works just fine. _________________ Thanks,

well, to be honest I'm not able to add the sitemap as you state.
bo is installed on domainA
blog is on domainB
when I try to add the sitemap of domainB that is located on domanA google says something like:
sitemap must be on domainB.
you mean that I should create an new entry for the domain where BO is installed, then pass to google sitemaps from BO installation domain ?
sorry but I'm a bit confused. |

got the point atanasis.
I solved the problem.
I was still running the old version of scripts on my blogs.
I've added the new files in the zip, and now everything is ok.
Just added a couple of sites' xml sitemaps in google webmaster tools.
thanks alot |
