No matter how i use it the {AFF} for affiliate codes just does not work.
Im trying this right now but it still doesn't work. We use ccbill as our
processor. So does anyone know how to use this with ccbills referer code?
Or how to just get it to work at all?
But no matter how i try and use the AFF tag it just stays as AFF when an affiliate link code is used.
Any help please?
Thanks |

hi there,
first can you make sure you have properly installed the affiliate module.
the files structure should be like:
/bo/
/bo/bomodules/
/bo/bomodules/affiliates/
Then when you created the blog, have you first installed the affiliate module or you did it later?
It doesn't matter what billing processor you use, simply when you put {AFF} in the place of the webmaster id in any links in your blog template or posts, it would be replaced when the blog is visited. So when your {AFF} tag is not replaced it makes me think the affiliate module is not properly installed.
Look at these things and if you have more problems let me know.. _________________ Thanks,

Actualy i found the problem. It seems that when links are created you have to use the CURL mode for the affiliate MOD.
Just as a suggestion.
I think it would be valuable if that info was put in the documentation for the setup of the Affiliate Mod.
It sure would have saved me a ton of time if i had known this. It was just pure accident that i ran accross it when i was looking the problem. |

well, thats why when you install the affiliate module, script lets you grab only the CURL version of the files. If you got the normal php includes ones, then it means you have created the blog and grabbed the linking files before installing the affiliate module.
anyways, glad you found out the problem and made it working.
keep me posted if you have more problems.. _________________ Thanks,
