Is there a way to create backups automatically using a cronjob?

well, there is no such feature in the script ready to be used. but generally yes you can make backups via cron, but you would need some other script handle that or just see if your host has autobackup feature.

Hmm, well I tried with a cronjob with the url in admin, but it doesn't work since it expects a password. I like having all my software backed up separately than with the entire sites backups.

yeah, i told you script is not made for automated backups yet, just manual.

generally you need to only backup the mysql database since it stores all the necessary info needed for the script. so you can use mysqldump or something like that to create automated backups of it.
