When making a post the post link and post title become active links with the form:

Code:
http://mydomain.com/Posts Link Name_#.html
(where # is the post number.)

Obviously, there are no pages called Post Link Name_#.html unless I make them.

May be I'm missing something but what is the best way of utilising these links so they go to something useful like a sponsors gallery or tour page?

Make a new page for each post?, set up a redirect? Both of these seem more work than necessary.

well, yes the script makes the post pages in that format, and really there are no actual files made for each post in that format, thats just a mask with mod_rewrite in the htaccess, so it should be working when you click on them if you have placed properly your htaccess file. Also you should be aware not to use spaces in the "post link format". Htaccess doesn't like spaces..

That's the part I dont understand. I'm pretty sure my htaccess is ok, but when the links are clicked they lead to a 404 error, as I havent made individual pages for each post.

If htaccess is working correctly where would those links lead?

Is there any way of making the post titles non clickable since the links I want people to use are in the posts themselves.

what you have in your "Posts Link Name" field in the blog settings. That field should not have spaces. If you change it, you should update and your htaccess file for that blog. Just grab it again from the linking codes..

Ahhh, I had set the post link name after I'd already uploaded the htaccess.

I recreated the htaccess as suggested and now when I click on the link it links to the post on a full page which is excatly what I wanted it to do.

Thanks!
