heya kaktusan,

enjoy your vacation Smile may someone else knows whats wrong here

oki i from sponsorhostedfeeds, i checked for a sponsor (ccbill) Beachmodel, i signed up since those feeds are softcore and textrich which was exactly what i was looking for

I added following feed to FO:
Quote:
http://www.beachmodel.com/free_galleries/rss.php?action=show&affil_id=1564771&category=0&subcategory=0&type=0&thumb_size=165x220&desc=l&disp_num=0

but when i want to visit it, my comp tries to download a php file on the local machine, so there is no content displaying on some browser

then i tried to add the one you got on SpoHostFee:
Quote:
http%3A%2F%2Fwww.beachmodel.com%2Ffree_galleries%2Frss.php%3Faction%3Dshow%26affil_id%3D1564771%26category%3D0%26subcategory%3D0%26type%3D0%26thumb_size%3D165x220%26desc%3Dl%26disp_num%3D0

and there it said invalid fee url, so any ideas how i get this thing rolling?

btw, i tried to add topbucks feeds to FO, and results was always without pictures, currently the FO support forum is pretty small, seems like not much people use it LOL

well i guess i am one of those trial & error guys

but some enlightment would be sweet to understand, cause i simply dont understand how that is working

i saved the .php file now, as beachmodel.php on my server, uploaded it and after i viewed the code, i thought it looks more like a xml thingie, so i renamed it to xml

so now we got
http://www.oilreg.com/feeds/beachmodels.xml working like you had it too on sponsorhostedfeed.com

what i dont understand, and would like to know, if this feed will be updated from the sponsor or not? it feels like some static thing now, when i got it on my hdd ?

well, Feeds Observer is mainly for tracking your own blog feeds, but ofcourse you can use it and for sponsors one..

I just added that problemable feed to FO and everything works okay with text and images..

Follow this:
go to FO->Add Feed and add the feed url and put it some name.

After that go to "Your Feeds" and in the list, click on linking..

you will see url like:
http://www.yourdomain.com/fo/feed.php?id=#

Thats the new feed url you should use that passes through the script.
For more explanation look on that same page how you can use more that new feed.

And yes, it will be updated when the original sponsor feed is update. FO reads the feed from the sponsor, so basically its all same, just it passes first through the script so it can count the traffic.
