I think this has been brought up here a few months ago already. I autopost a number of entries on my blog to have one new entry appear every 2-3 days. Instead, BO starts resubmitting older entries from the blog, posting 2-3 entries a day.

This problem is only with thumblogger blogs, not wordpress. Any help would be really appreciated as this is bugging the hell out of me! Smile

Cheers and thanks

hi there, hm, no such exact problem haven't been reported till now.
So you wanna say for thumblogger blogs it does not post new posts, while for WP and others it works? That makes no sense, since script treats all blogs same way in the matter of picking posts.

Can you please try to explain more in details about the problem and eventually pm me url and pass to your BO so i can see it..

Hey Atanasis, perhaps I should have been more clear. Lets say I have a thumblogger blog and I schedule the posts as follows:

Day 1: Post 1
Day 2: nothing
Day 3: nothing
Day 4: Post 2
Day 5: nothing
Day 6: nothing
Day 7: Post 3

What ends up happening is on Day 2, Post 1 is reposted. Same for Day 3 On Day 5, Post 1 and 2 might be reposted. So basically, instead of not posting anything on Day 2/3/5/6, BO takes old entries and posts them to my blog.

In any case, I'm going to PM you my info now so that you can take a look. Thanks in advance! Rolling Eyes

hey there,
well i looked and BO is doing that because you have enabled posts resubmission. I went and edited your problemable blog you stated and set the posts not to resubmit.

Watch it for couple of days and let me know if yet problemable.

Thanks a bunch Kaktusan. My only question is, resubmission was set to 5 days. I was hoping to autopost the entries (one every 2-3 days) and then when there were no posts in the queue to start resubmitting the old entries. Or am I missing something when I put "5" in that box?

well, once you set a resubmission interval it refers to every single post. It doesn't start resubmitting only if there are no new posts or scheduled once. For example you import a post today, within 5 days it will get resubmitted, no matter if you have new posts or scheduled ones..

ok so t I guess thats the piece I was missing. Basically you're saying that if I have 30 posts, I should set the resubmission to 32-33 days, correct?

yep, you are on the right track now Smile

For example if you load the script with 30 posts set to appear 1 per day in 30 consecutive days. And if you set the resubmission interval to lets say 31-32 days, after all posts get published they will start being republished again one by one..
