I deleted a batch of posts that were in the db.. and it seems maybe thats the reason there aren't any new ones being added to the page.. don't know why that would be. But I can see my events working fine..

2007-03-20 02:01:02 BO Remote Updater executed
2007-03-20 02:01:02 BO Updater executed successfully
2007-03-20 02:01:02 BO RSS Feeder executed
2007-03-20 02:01:02 BO Remote Updater executed
2007-03-20 02:00:01 BO Remote Updater executed
2007-03-20 01:59:02 BO Remote Updater executed

but no new blogs from my occash.com feeds.. i just made 7 new posts tonight and they're not showing up on adamsgoe.com test site.

I activated them in the blog and clicked update.. regenerated, still nothing.

Shouldn't it be automatic to pull those posts instantly?

Any help appreciated.
thanks

you can't force manually the rss reader, it runs depending on how much time you set in the "crawl time". and also take a note BO has 1 hour caching of the feeds. So if it crawls now the feed and after 1 minute you add new content in the feed, BO will regrab the feed content from it location after 1 hour when the cache expires.

gotcha.. ok no worries. I see updates now.. I'll give it more time next time.. was hoping there was a faster process but its not that big of a deal, as long as it updates within a few hours thats cool. I have it set to 360 minutes.

ok cool!

well, yes, i made the rss caching with intention to minize server load and prevent people making their blogs update less than an hour, which can result in big server load if they have lets say 1000 blogs & 100 different feeds that need to be crawled and process lets say every 5 mins..

Generally, people update their blogs twice ot triple a day, so if you use any crawl time bigger than 1 hour, won't see the problem..
