Hi,
I use rss feeds to populate my blogs. The rss feed contains text and a preview image, like this:
<description><![CDATA[Here is a long text with some href links and a link to a full size img src preview picture]]></description>
Is there a way to automatically download this preview image to my blog? (And avoid to hotlink to it.)
Also: is there a way to automatically resize this preview picture? (And avoid for a 3000x2000px picture to mess up the layout of my blog.)

If BO can't do it, does Blogs Automater have the abilty to automatically download/resize images from rss feeds?
If yes, what is the difference between BO and BA?
How difficult is to migrate from BO to BA? (I have 150 BO blogs)

yes, BA can download and resize images..
the main difference between both products is that BA is more like a CMS for blog posts - it reads posts from rss feeds and save them into a neatly arranged database and you can anytime publish those posts at any of your blogs. BA is not creating/operating blogs like BO does, but only updates them with posts. It is far more advanced in a manner of rss feeding and processing..
BA and BO can work together pretty easily. Simply put your BO url and user/pass in BA and it will scan all blogs contained there and adds them to its database. Then you simply create a campaign for each blog how to be updated and thats it..
Let me know if you have any more questions..
BA has free version which you can download and try to see if it works exactly like you need it to be..
