I haven't been using Blogs Organizer in quite awhile and have let my existing blogs go stagnant. I decided to upgrade some things and went to my bo directory only to find that nothing shows up on the browser!

Looking at the folder, I found the error log which shows this:

"[13-Mar-2014 11:26:19 America/Denver] PHP Fatal error: Incompatible file format: The encoded file has format major ID 1, whereas the Loader expects 5 in /home6/nofilmpi/public_html/bo/boposts.php on line 0:"

As for the blogs themselves, the main page shows up fine but the links to individual blog entries show up blank.

I noticed recent forum entries mention problems with php 5.4 and wondered if this was related.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

I looked at some other posts and figured out that my version of Blogs Organizer will not work with PHP 5.4 due to some problem with Zend.

The solution is to upgrade to the PHP 5.4 version and do a few other things.

In case anyone is interested, here's the information I got from a few posts on the support and the instruction forums:

1) Grab the UPGRADER package from the owners lounge at http://owners.cheapestwebsoftware.com/

Make sure you download the UPGRADER package, that is named bo-upgrade.zip !!!

If you have downloaded file named 'bo.zip' , delete it and download the other!

2) Unpack the package at your local PC

3) Upload the contents of the 'bo' folder to your BO install directory at your server in BINARY mode.

4) Edit the boinfo.inc.php file as follows
Delete or comment out this line
import_request_variables("gp","g_");

Add this line in it's place
extract($_REQUEST, EXTR_PREFIX_ALL|EXTR_REFS, 'g');

5) Run from your browser the automatic upgrader file like this:
http://yourdomain.com/bo/bo-upgrade.php

6) If your server has Ion Cube, activate it. This is easily done by going to the php config settings on your cpanel and clicking the Ion Cube under "additional extensions available for installation". You may also want to select the single php.ini options. Consult your web provider if you have problems. Blogs Organizer will not work without Ion Cube activated.

7) go to http://yourdomain.com/bo/ and the log in page should appear.

8) Delete the bo-upgrade.php file.

Hope you find this useful - worked great for me !
