The Zend Optimizer software has made a drastic change for 5.3, and the decryption part of the software is now called ZendLoader (the encryption part is called ZendGuard).
Links Organiser doesn't work on PHP 5.3 servers with the new ZendLoader, it throws the following error:
| Code: | | Fatal error: Incompatible file format: The encoded file has format major ID 1, whereas the Loader expects 4 in /home/sitename/public_html/lo/index.php on line 0 |
Apparently it needs to be re-encrypted using the new ZendGuard. Details here: forums.zendDOTcom/viewforum.php?f=57
I have no choice other than running PHP 5.3 on my server for security reasons. Can you provide an updated working version of the software?

Hi there,
thanks for reporting and please give me a day to two to research on the issue, since I see there is only encryptor in "Early Release" in beta version for php 5.3 and i want to make sure everything will work fine before i make a download available publicly..

hi there, sorry forgot to update this thread..
i downloaded the Zend Guard beta and tried licensing with the key they provide there, but it didn't work. I am waiting for Zend support to resolve this, as i am not able to use the software without a license..

are you going to do a fresh install of the software or upgrade from old installation?

| Excellent! I would prefer to do an upgrade, I have a few link trades in place. But if it's easier a fresh install would be fine too. |

I also have to upgrade next week to php 5.3 with the new zendloader.
Is this already handled in version 1.7 which i'm already running or do i need a modified upgrade version from you?

no, it is not fixed, since a different encoded package is needed, it has nothing to do with the script itself.
I have a separate package for php 5.3... I am sending you pm with it..

I have tried the patched files you send me.

are you sure you are on php 5.3?
Let me know the exact php version and Zend Guard installed, or pm me directly a phpinfo() url
Also make sure you have uploaded the files in BINARY mode.
