Is it possible to set up a BO blog so that posts can be re-posted in a random manner on a set schedule? For example, on a blog with 20 posts it would be nice to set up a schedule so that a random post gets posted again every day so it looks like there is fresh content on the blog.
If this is not possible it might be a nice feature to add for a future release. |

How can you auto-repost the olderst post? I don't see that option under the edit blog control. |

I was reading through some more forum posts and it looks like this one describes exactly what I'm trying to do:
http://support.cheapestwebsoftware.com/viewtopic.php?t=2076
So instead of doing random posts, BO starts from the oldest post and moves forward, which is actually fine with me. I shouldn't have used the word "random". I just want a way to load up some blog posts and have them change automatically so my blog always looks different every few days.
Anyhow, I can't find instructions on how to do this so can you please explain or point me to where the instructions are? Thanks! |

hi there, as i explained there is no random possibility..
You can make the script auto republish oldest post after X days, by simply going to the blog settings and in the field "Resubmit Posts" put a value.. _________________ Thanks,

Hi, as I said in my last post I should not have used the word "random".
Can you please confirm that these are the correct steps:
1. Under Admin Controls choose "Manage Blogs".
2. Choose a blog and select "Edit Blog".
3. Enter a nunber next to "Resubmit Posts".
So if I enter the number 3, every 3 days the oldest post will be republished to the top of my blog, correct?
I just want to make sure I understand this before I do it. Thanks. |

hi there,
yes, if you set the field to 3, every 3 days that there are no new posts published, script will pick the blog's oldest post and republish it _________________ Thanks,

Excellent! Thank you!
I'd be curious to know from you or other users if doing this has any impact (positive or negative) on SEO. |

Can I ask one more question on this topic: If I have a post I've made sticky so it's always at the top of my blog will using "Resubmission" effect this? I would prefer for a sticky post to stay at the top while older posts get re-published beneath it. |
