forgive me if this is redundant... but I found some old posts and some notes that this was changed in 1.7 so need still some update here?
I get this 301 error, so turned it off on the configure settings but I dont understand why I am turning it off?
My understanding is LO is checking for sites that are cheating and have 301 redirects. Also, though webmasters might have a legit reason for a redirect like a mobile redirect or country redirect.
but by turning it off and ignoring all 301s is LO not checking for the links or not catching cheaters? |

301 is usually an apache redirect code. So the redirect could be used for good and for bad.
Nowadays Wordpress is made by default to use 301 redirect on every single page it servers, including and the index page of the blog at which regularly the trades are listed.
Since WP is really heavily used, it is good to ignore the 301 redirects.. _________________ Thanks,
