Hello together, i have a problem with my LO when i try to run a linkcheck my own.

The first 1 or 2 weeks the LO was running nearly perfect. Sometimes the checker stuck, why i don't know, but after i set him free after a while and i run it again, it does work fine.

Now for a complete week the LO near to always stuck, even when the cron is running the script.

I have only 300 Trades in there and the checker needs 12-15 minutes for one run. Even that i don't care, but it need to run again correctly, is there a way what i have to delete/renew whats maybe 'broken' or something like that?

And one other Question, is it possible to let the linkchecker, if the LO runs fine again, to run it twice per day? I'm a little paranoid with some linktrades and i like that the LO check runs at 07:00am and at 07:00pm.
Right now it run's by cron at 09:10 what is a time i really don't like, because of other work what i have to do at that time and no chance to check the links.

Regards
Caylean

its probably some server issue.. Ask your host support to increase the mysql timeout value and then try running the checker again and see if it will be stucking..

Okay, thank you.

Cuz it is a SEO Server thing, i think i know the answer already, so i'll just transfer the domain to an other Server and will check it there again. If the same issue is still there, i can talk to the support.

I havent been able to get link checker to work for almost a month.
Whenever I try it just says !!! Link Checker is currently running !!!

But it never stops, and actually completes the function.

I have tried clearing the linkchecker.txt file, in fact as I watch it on the FTP client that file always stays at -0- bytes.

I have double the Mysql timeout on the server, and that made no difference.

I have tried changing the STOP time, in config to 1 hour, and 5 hours, and let it run for days, but nothing seems to help.

I think I might need Atansis to take a look and show me what Ive done wrong.

Thanks

What exactly you mean it actually completes the function? You want to say it completes, saves report and mails you, but the lock file linkchecker.txt stays.. also does the system process stay or no?

If you manually run it from "functions->link checker->start linkchecker" what happens? Does it complete fine?

Let me know on these questions..

*** It does not stop, save report and email. It just says 'Linkchecker running', and the linkchecker.txt file stays at 0 bytes.

*** This is what I have been doing. It is set to run every 5 days in Config, but it never does run, so I have been running it manually, but for about a month it has not been working correctly.

Kaktusan-

It does not complete the linkchecker function. It does not stop, save report, and email me. The linkchecker page just tells me that it is currently running. And I have noticed that the linkchecker.txt file stays at 0 bytes.

Im not sure about the system process, how do I check for this?

I have been running it manually, it does not run automatically, or if it does It does not complete.

hm, so there must be something happening with the cronjob, when it works fine when you run it manually..

pm me url and pass to your LO admin and ftp/ssh access to there, so i can run it from command line and watch what is happening..
