I'm trying to do a server move. Looks pretty straight forward I just wanted to clarify the instructions

Basically for Blog Organizer I download the directory I had the program in the domain.com/bo subdirectory. Upload that directory to the new server.
Change the configuration file with the new mysql database login information.
boinfo.inc.php
Set the cmod settings as per the install
Upload the old mysql database into the new database
Anything else I should know? |

yep, thats it, just make sure you are uploading in BINARY mode the files and also that the new server meets all script requirements.
also after you have the BO admin running, if you are moving and blogs to the new host, you will need to move the blog linking files for each blog too

I have not yet changed the dns so I was trying to do the testing via the ip but I'm getting an error.
No Valid License found!
Create a file 'bolicense' and put your correct license key in it!
so I am guessing the key is locked to the domain not the ip. Is there a way to test before I change the dns? |

yes, license is locked to the domain. there's no way to test it before..
well, there is.. you must put on your PC the dns of your server, so you will access the domain to its new location. after that return back your normal dns..
