I have noticed that my blogs are starting to take forever to load in internet explorer. When you type in the URL, it takes maybe 30 seconds (where i.e. seems to be hanging) before the page finally loads...and then the full page loads all at once. This is not a problem in firefox, where blogs load normally. One example is
http://dailygaygalleries.com/blog/
I have tried rebuilding the blogs, I have tried optimising the sql db, nothing seems to be helping.
Any ideas as to what is happening? |

I can confirm exactly what you said... instant load in FF, at least 30 seconds in IE.
By the way, on an unlrelated subject I noticed that your blog does not have an Alexa ranking (I have a FF plugin that displays these). I was wondering if you knew this. My only reason for asking is because I just got BO a few weeks ago and put up one blog as a test (with one or two pics, no text) and it already has an Alexa rank of 16 million. Since your blog has been up since January I thought it was odd that you don't seem to be registering on Alexa. |

well, for me on FF 2 and IE6 it works same.
Anyways.. when it is about browsers, then the problem is in the blog design. You should try looking into it what could be causing that issue. Regularly when there is such delay in IE, it is related to javascript stuff..

I found the problem, i.e. does not like embedded videos from rockettube.
once i got those posts off the page (and the embedded script) it loads perfectly |
