If you use the enable resize images in configure does it download the thumb or the image from the feed and resize it? there are a lot of feeds with very small thumbs I would use if the thumbs were bigger for the post

the resize only works if you enable the download of images. And resize works to make images smaller. If your feeds have small thumbs, you can't make them bigger because that will cause the images look bad..
