hello, since i use the RP feature in BA i saw in my External Ping History that from time to time blogs are pinged up to 11 times. Here are the ping times from only one blog:
2009-03-20 01:54:11
2009-03-20 01:54:09
2009-03-20 01:54:07
2009-03-20 01:54:03
2009-03-20 01:53:58
2009-03-20 01:53:53
2009-03-20 01:53:49
2009-03-20 01:53:44
2009-03-20 01:53:40
2009-03-20 01:53:35
2009-03-20 01:53:30
the ping interval is set to 120 secounds. |

hmm..
are those blogs free hosted?
i am using BA+RP same as you, and sometimes i see double records in RP for my freehosted blogs, but for my blogs on my own server never happened. I've been investigating this and ended up because freehosts are sometimes slow to process new posts, BA gets stuck and send RP couple of request, but RP pings just the 1st request, so its nothing to worry about double pings..

no i can't confirm this. in my case there is the same behave with all kinds of blogs, external hosted and blogs on my server, BO blogs and WP blogs.
But when there is nothing to worry about double pings then i don't care how much pings are shown in the list  |
