I can't scan my blogs on thumblogger service, It doesn't work anymore this is the error I get when I try to scan my blogs:
couldn't connect to host |

either your host filtered the connection to TB, or probably TB blacklisted you for too much queries for short time.

ask your host support to test the connection to thumblogger.com:2020
and if they have filters to drop them off. According to their response either you will be fine, or you will need to manually contact twan with your server IP address

why you can't contact him? Sending a pm on his support board usually helps.
